Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY) Online Application 2022-23 @mysy.guj.nic.in, Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojna (MYSY) Financial and other scholarship/assistantship for meritorious and needy students of all classes for pursuing Higher Education in the state of Gujarat. Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana 2022

Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana @mysy.guj.nic.in: The Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana is a scheme under which the students shall get grants for their higher studies. To take part in this scheme the government has asked for online applications. The Gujarat government will provide scholarships to the meritorious students who prove their mettle under this scheme.

Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana Key features

  1. Government employee relaxation: For government employees, there is an age relaxation of 5 years for making use of this scheme.
  2. Aid to special areas: Those areas which neither have a higher education department or a government hostel shall receive special benefits. Rs. 1200 will be given to them for 10 months before they can find their accommodation.
  3. Extra gear to students: The students who are studying in higher secondary level will get aid for purchasing books and other educational gear. Those students that are currently in undergraduate level will get monetary aid as per the scholarship structure mentioned below.
  4. Student categories: Nearly all students will get this grant, given that they have obtained a specified minimum at their school or college level. For more information on this, see the eligibility criteria.

Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana 2022 Scholarship structure

  1. Amount of grant: The government shall give the students a grant of Rs. 1 lakh for the period of five years. But this amount is for those who are pursuing their degree courses under Gujarat Medical Education Research Society (GMERS) and for those who are taking up dental courses as well.
  2. Grant for other courses: For students who are pursuing courses like pharmacy, Ayurved, engineering, nursing, homoeopathy and physiotherapy, will get half the amount as grant. This means they shall get only Rs. 50,000 per year at the most.
  3. More course structures: For students who are studying courses like B.Ed, B.A, B.Sc and more, there will be a government grant worth Rs. 10,000 per annum. Or, they can also get half their college expenses paid – whichever is lower to the government.
  4. Higher secondary students: Students who have just passed 10th standard or 12th standard with the marks that fall under the eligibility criteria will also get the grant if you have settled for courses, then you will be given Rs. 25,000 per year, or half amount of your fees – whichever is lower.
  5. Free reading material: You will not just get the reading material for free but you shall also get the outfits or uniforms made for free if you have any in schools and colleges. The frame charges will be as per the norms of the self-financed schools.

Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana Eligibility

  1. Gujarat Resident: The student has to be a resident of Gujarat to be eligible for this scheme. Gujarat residents are the only ones who shall be able to get benefits under this scheme.
  2. Household income: Under the MYSY scheme, the household income matters too. The total household income of the family should not exceed Rs. 4.5 lakh for this scheme.
  3. Marks and merit: Students who have scored more than 90% in their 10th and 12th standard will be able to apply for this scheme. Also, those students who have enrolled for undergraduate courses in B.Ed, B.Sc, and other professional courses, are eligible.

1. For MBBS/ BDS Students

  1. Students pursuing MBBS/ BDS from the Gujarat Medical Education Research Society (GMERS) get a scholarship amount of INR 2,00,000 per annum or 50% of the tuition fees, whichever is less.
  2. Book and Equipment assistance of INR 10,000.
  3. Hostel grant of INR 1200 per month.

2. For Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and Nursing Students

  1. Students pursuing Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and Nursing receive a scholarship amount of INR 50,000 per annum.
  2. Book and Equipment assistance of INR 5,000.
  3. Hostel grant of INR 1200 per month.

3. for Diploma courses Studetns

  1. Students pursuing Diploma courses get a scholarship amount of INR 25,000 per annum.
  2. Book and Equipment assistance of INR 3,000.
  3. Hostel grant of INR 1200 per month.

4. for Other Graduation courses such as BEd, BSc, BA Students

  1. Students pursuing BEd, BSc, BA, etc receive a scholarship amount of INR 10,000 per annum.
  2. Hostel grant of INR 1200 per month.
