The incessant monsoon rains that drenched the state of Gujarat in September 2023 have left a trail of devastation, especially in the districts of South Gujarat including Bharuch, Narmada, Vadodara, Panchmahal and Dahod. Families have suffered significant losses, from the destruction of their homes to the loss of belongings. In response to the disaster, the government has extended a helping hand, offering financial assistance to those affected.
Gujarat Rain Relief:
Heavy rains in Gujarat during the period from September 16, 2023 to September 18, 2023 caused widespread damage. The worst affected districts were Bharuch, Narmada and Vadodara, which saw flooding of rivers and dams, resulting in significant damage including complete or partial destruction of residential houses in Panchmahal and Dahod districts. To overcome this difficulty, the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) has sanctioned special assistance from the state budget.
Rain Damage Assistance will be extended to the following districts:

Clothing and housekeeping assistance:
Each affected family in the above districts will receive financial assistance as follows:
Rs. 2,500 as clothing assistance
Rs. 2,500 as household assistance
This amount totals to Rs. 5,000 per family, with Rs. 2,000 is allocated from the state government budget. The objective of this financial assistance is to help families rebuild their lives after the devastating rain damage.
Building Assistance:
For completely destroyed or severely damaged residential raw/raw houses assistance of Rs. 1,20,000 will be provided from SDRF.
In case of partially damaged residential houses, assistance varies:
Partially damaged concrete houses (with at least 15% damage) Rs. 6,500 from SDRF and Rs. 8,500 from the state government budget, a total of Rs. 15,000 is.
Partially damaged green house (with at least 15% damage) Rs. 4,000 from SDRF and Rs. 6,000 from the state government budget, a total of Rs. 10,000.

Conditions of Loss Assistance:
