Palak Mata Pita Yojana: The Central Government and the Government of Gujarat issue many schemes for destitute children, destitute elderly and widowed sisters. In which the Destitute Old Age Assistance is run by the Director Social Security. ‘Widow Sahay Yojana’ is run by Women and Child Development. All these schemes aim to provide direct financial assistance to such beneficiaries. Today we will talk about the Foster Parents Scheme run by the Directorate Social Security Office.

Foster Parents Scheme

The Foster Parents Scheme was launched by the Government of Gujarat and is run by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. In this scheme, assistance of Rs 3000/- per month is given to orphans and destitute children of Gujarat. This assistance is directly remitted to the bank account through DBT. This assistance is useful for children in their maintenance.

Objective of Foster Parent Scheme

The main objective of the Palak Mata-Pita Yojana is to provide sustenance to the destitute and orphaned children without parents in Gujarat. In this Palak Mata Pita Yojana financial assistance is given to the child. 3000/- is given monthly as financial assistance. With this help, orphans and destitute children can be taken care of.

Eligibility for availing this scheme

Certain eligibility criteria are set by their department for the Foster Parent Scheme. Which are as follows.

All orphans 0 to 18 years residing in Gujarat

Children whose both parents are not alive will get the benefit of this scheme.
Children who are taking care of destitute orphans whose mother has remarried after the death of the father and who are being cared for by close relatives will benefit from this scheme.

Benefits available under the Foster Parents scheme

Under the Foster Parent Yojana, assistance is provided as follows:

In Palak Mata Pita Yojana, support of Rs 3000/- per month is given to the adopter of the orphan child for maintenance.
3000/- assistance is directly deposited into the bank account through D.B.T.
This assistance is accrued every month.

Documents for availing the scheme

Rules and documents have been decided for this scheme run by District Child Protection and District Social Security. Palak Mata Pita Yojana Required Documents are fixed as below.

Child’s Birth Certificate or School Leaving Certificate (L.C)
A certified copy of the death certificate of the child’s parents has to be submitted.
Affidavit of remarriage of mother/marriage registration in case the child’s father is dead and mother has remarried
Any one of the documents such as Certificate / Exemplar of Talati Cum Mantri
Proof of remarriage of mother
Copy of Income Certificate
Passbook of Bank Account of Child Scholarship
Attested copy of passbook of joint bank account of child and foster parents
Copy of child’s Aadhaar card
Copy of ration card of foster parents
A copy of the certificate of the standard in which the child is currently studying
Aadhar card copy of foster parents

How to apply?

Follow the steps below to apply in the Foster Parent Yojana:

First open the website https://esamajkalyan.gujarat.gov.in to fill the form.
After that click on “New Registration” to create a new account.
All information has to be filled and submitted.
After that Id and password will come in your mobile and you have to login.
After login all schemes will open click on Palak Mata Pita Yojana.
After that all your information has to be filled.
After filling the information, the document has to be uploaded.
After uploading the document, the application has to be saved in Last.
Application is to be submitted after saving the application.
After submitting the application, the application number will be sent to your mobile.
After that the application has to be printed.
