Forecast of heavy to very heavy rain in various cities in Gujarat for 5 days, so much rain so far

Gujarat is likely to receive heavy to very heavy rains in various parts of the state for the next five days. Meteorological department has warned. Heavy to very heavy rain may occur in parts of Surat, Navsari, Porbandar, Valsad, Jungarh, Devbhoomi Dwarka districts today. Mehsana, Banaskantha, Patan, Anand, Mahisagar, Bharuch, Dang, Sabarkantha, Narmada, Aravalli, Tapi. Heavy rain is also forecast in Kutch, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Botad, Morbi, Girsomanath district, even after this there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in many parts of the state for 4 days.

Ahmedabad’s Dhanduka taluka received 107 mm, Jamnagar 102 mm and Saurashtra’s Porbandar 105 mm till yesterday with more than four inches of rain. 157 talukas of the state have received rain during this period. Many places were inundated due to heavy rain in Ahmedabad. Dantiwada taluka of Banaskantha district. But 96 mm about 4 inches of rain has been recorded. 4 inches of rain has been recorded in Disa, Jotana of Mehsana, Vijayanagar of Sabarkantha, Lodhika of Rajkot two and a half inches. Ranawav of Porbandar, Mehsana and Palsana of Surat have received more than two inches of rain.

The state has received 36.6% of the season’s rainfall so far due to the rains that started in June due to Cyclone Biparjoy. About 95% of the water has fallen in the Kutch region. Anjar taluk of Kutch has received 187% of the rainfall, which is the highest.

After a long hiatus, heavy rains lashed Porbandar district. All small and large check domes in the rural areas have been flooded. Due to heavy rains in Barda area, fields were also flooded. Two villages in Bagwadar, Bharwad, Beran, Kidarkheda, Khabodar, Vachhoda, Khistri etc. Due to three inches of rain, the check dams have overflowed. Along with this, the fields were also flooded and in some places water started flowing from one field to another. New water has also started coming into the wells. One to one and a half inches of rain has been recorded in the villages of Bakarla, Kantawana, Godhana etc. The lake of Wachoda village is 60 percent full and water is flowing over the check dams of Bagavadar village and Beran village. Rains fell in Porbandar, Ranawav, Barda, Kutiyana and Dhed areas.
